Meet Shawna Murray
I treat my clients like family, protecting their interests as if they were my own, and making sound recommendations to help them accomplish their goals. I am grateful for the opportunity to be involved in the process.
My interest in estate planning was sparked while in law school. I worked for a non-profit legal aid law firm, Inland Counties Legal Services, and I became a part of their senior citizen outreach program. I found a job very rewarding. I went to numerous senior centers in Riverside County to aid seniors with their estate planning. I really enjoyed my time with my clients and helping them achieve peace of mind. Later, I was able to assist two of my grandparents with their planning and it further fostered my interest in estate planning.
Estate planning often becomes important to younger generations when they have their own children and I was no exception. I knew that a plan needed to be in place just in case something happened and my children were left without parents to care for them. I came to the realization that I would also have a rewarding career if I could help clients achieve a similar sense of security and peace of mind. In 2016, I opened Shawna Murray Law.
Since 2007, I have been licensed to practice law and became a member of the California State Bar. I am licensed to practice in all California courts and I am also admitted to practice in the United States District Court, Central District of California.
I am proud to be a California native. I grew up in the South Bay and lived in various parts of Southern California over the years. I graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a bachelor's degree and attended Southwestern Law School, also in Los Angeles, where I earned my Juris Doctorate.
Over 15 years ago, I moved to Orange County and I have been raising my two wonderful sons in this splendid area ever since. Some of the things that I enjoy in my free time include listening to podcasts, spending time with a great group of friends, and traveling.
